Five
degrees this morning. We woke at 6:15
and it was still pitch black – well not quite the moon was still out and there
were stars. Needless to say we stayed in
bed a bit longer.
Back on the
road for 30 km and we called in to Chilla Well.
We had read somewhere that this was a good spot for bird watching. We found an abandoned Aboriginal Outstation
but no birds.

Tillmouth Well Roadhouse a bit further down the track was a different story. A nice grassed area out the back to eat our ‘burger with the lot’. A restaurant, caravan park and accommodation. We took on enough fuel to get us to Alice Springs (we had put in the jerry can last night). The landscape has changed again with the West MacDonald Ranges to our right.
