Sunday 28th April 2013 - Mullumbimby to Highfields

A 1:30 pm start to commence our 3 month trip to the Pilbara and the Kimberley.  We got away a little later than we intended but as we were only going as far as Highfields to spend the night with sister Helen, Ted and Mum, that was no great problem.  There were lots of road works happening once we left the Logan Motorway – repairs after the flood of a few years ago.  There were also major works on the road up the mountain to Toowoomba but we managed to avoid these after speaking to Ted and we took an alternate route through Murphy’s Creek.

A lovely baked dinner, a comfy bed and a good shower (probably the last for a while).
