Today Aylee and Alex went snorkelling out beyond the reef. We had a guide and a boat and it was a great experience. This time of year the manta rays are about and although we did not get anywhere near as close as the following pics (from the Lady Elliot Island CD) we were swimming around above them as they cruised along the bottom of the ocean.
The rest of the day was taken at a leisurely pace with another walk to do some exploring in the afternoon. The island has an amazing Solar setup and the resort aims to be completely powered by renewable energy by 2020.
After dinner we went on a night walk with a guide. Lots of hermit crabs and green frogs along with other critters and stories.
