Off to Loch Ness this morning – stopped beside the loch for breakfast. Then on to Drumnadochit where we went to a Loch Ness exhibition. It was all about what people had seen and the scientific evidence of what people might have seen – very well done and as it was all audiovisual didn’t have to do too much reading which becomes a bit exhausting in some displays.
It was then on the road to the northwest Scottish coast. Stopped by a loch for lunch and then on to Tarbet along a minor major road (a single laned road with passing bays) for about 40 miles. Fortunately, there was not a lot of traffic coming the other way.
At Tarbet, we checked times for a boat tomorrow for Hedra Island, a bird sanctuary where we hope to see puffins.
Down the road a few miles to the caravan park at Scourie where we were perched precariously on a cliff above the bay. It’s was a beautiful view out the window but outside it was very windy. So much for the barbecue we were planning. Called at the local pub for a drink. It was also perched on top of the cliff.
