We can now tick Steep Point and Shark Bay off the "Bucket List" and are on our way north to Carnarvon. Dropped the keys off at Tamala Station and headed towards Highway 1 and the bitumen.
We had an uneventful trip to Carnarvon where we booked into the Coral Coast Caravan Park in town. It was pretty squishy with a high fence along the boundary that you couldn't see over. Apart from being close enough to town to be able to walk, it didn't have a lot going for it. Alex was keen to stay somewhere where we could hook into the internet (needed to do some stuff for the Drill Hall) but once we were set up we discovered that the internet wasn't working at any rate. Must remember to ask before we book in next time. Not too many stars out of 10 for this park, unfortunately. As were setting up we noticed that we had a large wasp on the camper that had hitched a ride. One wonders whether he had been there all the way from Shell Beach. He looked pretty nasty so we were pleased when he eventually decided to fly off.
Off to the supermarket to stock up on supplies.
