We didn't see a sea lion eating a fish just near our camp as was mentioned in one of the comments on WikiCamps but Nadia Landing was a lovely spot. Before leaving we had a walk along the beach of the little bay we were camped on. It was low tide and you could walk out quite a way on a rock platform.
After breakfast, we headed back to the highway and then on to Penong. Penong has lots of windmills including a huge one call Bruce, named after the landowner where it was found and renovated before being set up at Penong. They have made quite a thing of windmills with lots around the area and in the park of this Tiny Town. Penong hosted hole 3 of the Nullabore next to the windmill park.
On to Nundroo Roadhouse. Had our golf card stamped followed by lunch and then played number 4 hole. It was a par 5 and took quite a bit of searching to find the actual hole. Apparently, there are 2.5 million wombats in the area but we didn't see any. Don't suppose they come out during the day anyway! These are Southern hairy-nosed wombats and they are helping to stem the extinction of the Northern hairy-nosed wombats as the Southern species can be used as surrogate mothers.
Jill bought a wombat placemat and sticker at the roadhouse. It was then onto the West Yalata rest area where we could drive quite a way in off the road. Plenty of firewood for a nice fire.
