Sunrise with the sun on the other side of the lake - very beautiful.
Pelicans on the water on this misty morning - lovely.
Just the time for a pleasant walk along the Lake.
A very raucous bird noise from across the lake (heard it last night too). We thought maybe Brolgas but it didn't seem quite right. Arthur's cousin Rob had said that they sometimes see Brolgas on the open farmland next door. A photographer woman camped just up the lake from us, came by and solved the problem for us - Blue-winged Kookaburra. It did "ring a bell!!". Checked the sound on the bird app and it was a match. Interesting that their call is nothing like the Laughing Kookaburra.
Rob and Barbara called to take Arthur and Margaret for a drive around the farm so it's a nice quiet day for us. Jill getting her journal up to date with some good "old school" cutting and pasting. A bit of photography for me and just lazing around. Delightful.
Rob and Barb back with Margaret and Arthur just before lunch. Joined us for lunch and talked well into the afternoon.
It's lovely to have days when you don't do much.
