TRIP LIST

Wednesday 19th February 2025 - Mount Tamborine

Before heading down the mountain to pick up the camper, we decided to call in for a bit of a walk to the lookout at Cedar Creek.  The lookout is a popular scenic spot that overlooks Cadar Creek Falls.  It's only about 1 km long and consists of a boardwalk for part of the way.  From the lookout, the track falls away down to the rock pools below the waterfall. A bit of a scramble, but quite doable and worth it.

It was a popular spot with quite a few swimmers taking advantage of three pools below the falls.

After picking up the camper at Jimboomba, we headed back towards the mountain as far as the village of Tamborine.  We are camping the next two nights at Plunkett Green, a  Hip Camp camping site on the Albert River just north of the village.  Plunkett Green consists of 14 nicely mown grassy sites on the river flat of the Plunkett Family farm.  We get to share with the horses and "a million" kangaroos.  An ideal spot to veg out.
