TRIP LIST

Monday 4th October 2010

We had a nice sleep in this morning and when we finally arose discovered that a lot of the campers were heading out today after their long weekend.

We walked to Seaton's Farm,  an easy walk from the campsite.  This 150-acre farm has been preserved by National Parks.  The farmhouse and sheds are made from secondhand corrugated iron that has been hammered flat so that it will go further.  The farmer, Jim Seaton, had used anything he could find to establish his farm - there were sheds full of useful stuff, piles of wire etc.  We walked back to camp via the base of the mountains, again a fairly easy walk.

Had a nice restful day, baked some gluten-free bread in the camp oven which turned out very well and set up the shower so we could clean ourselves up a bit.

Went for a walk in the early evening - lots of wallabies.

The Weddin National Park is certainly a place we will come back to.  There are some nice walks in the eastern sector of the park which we will put on the list for next time.

Tomorrow we are off the Grenfell and then on to Melbourne.
