Up early(ish) this morning for a walk around the Circuit Walking Track (4km) and back via the lake.
After a slowish breakfast, we set off for Taroom and then on to Miles for lunch. Miles is on the Warrego Highway and is a bigger centre than anything we have been through lately. An opportunity to fill a gas bottle and eat out for lunch (once again) - at the Creek Cafe (a nice garden setting). Quite a lot of activity at Miles including some trucks moving "big" things - fuel, dozer blade and tyres.
Camp tonight is at Caliguel Lagoon just south of Condamine. Lots of campers here. We initially checked out (well drove through) the new, "you beaut" campground with designated sites, toilets, power and lots of bollards (all free to encourage the grey-nomads and they are doing a wonderful job). We settled for a 'private' site on the lagoon a little before the campground after checking a few possibilities and being told of this site by another Quantum owner. Because it had a muddy puddle that needed to be driven through to get to it there was no one there yet. Their loss, our gain. A lovely spot right on the water's edge.
